A Criterion of Love

“It is a criterion of love. In moments of decision, we are to try to make what seems to be the most loving, the most creative decision. We are not to play safe, to draw back out of fear. Love may well lead us into danger. It may lead us to die for our friend. In a day when we are taught to look for easy solutions, it is not always easy to hold on to that most difficult one of all, love.”  Madeleine L’engle in Walking on Water (181)

I'm Tina. I'm the author of As Waters Gone By and An Ordinary Love. I'm a mom to two gorgeous kids. I love to read. I'm also utterly convinced that stories transform our lives. When we tell the stories of our hearts, we become more fully human.

  1. This so good to read, for me,today. I found out yesterday that Gods grace does not have rules attached or boundaries hemming it in. This is a sweet truth when applied to me but occasionally a bitter pill when applied to others. I am the elder son.
