A Thousand Words

You know the saying … A picture is worth a thousand words. I’ve been meaning to post some pictures of our lives here, what it’s like, what we’re doing and instead of my usual Fragments, I decided to post some today.

I’ll write more later this week.

We went to a friend’s farm last weekend and spent the entire day eating and drinking, laughing and talking. We enjoyed our time immensely. The kids did too! During their adventures they found a dead mouse and true to their age group – they decided they needed to give it a proper funeral. I didn’t not take part in the mouse’s burial.

A Season for Wood! Gone are the days of central heating. We heat our home with a wood stove and this takes lots of work. I have a new appreciation for heat and for warm homes, for a box on the wall where all one has to do is press an arrow up or down and boom – the machine turns on and the house heats up. Alas, those days are gone …

On the whole, we’re doing well. Still trying to build our house on the land, or start building our house. We would appreciate prayers for that. We have a friend who is trying to come and help us, but he’s being held up.  We are eager to start building, and could use prayer. If there’s anyone who loves to build houses and would like to come to Temuco, Chile and help us … well, we’ve got room for you! In the meanwhile, pray that God would lead us and that we’d be patient and wait for his timing.

Much love,

Tina
