Sad girl on sand beach I started As Waters Gone By about five years ago.

I had just undergone a long and overwhelming year of rejections and rewrites and more rejections and more rewrites on a fantasy novel that I decided to set aside. And was trying to figure out what to write next.

One morning, I woke up and wrote in my journal: I just want to write the story of one girl’s journey toward healing.  A simple book, written in first person.

Eleanor Martinson is the girl and this is her story toward healing.  It takes courage and grit to accept our story, accept where we come from and to receive love.  Eleanor Martinson learns to lean in, to grieve, to love, to receive love, and she also learns a bit about mystery.

At the end of September As Waters Gone By will come out as an ebook on Amazon, Nook, any others … and then it will go to print.

Thanks for sharing the journey.  There are many people who have prayed, encouraged, read so many drafts it’s not funny, and gave helpful feedback on each one.  Your part in this story is vital.

Here’s to staying the course!  Don’t give up.

Much Love,

Tina

I'm Tina. I'm the author of As Waters Gone By and An Ordinary Love. I'm a mom to two gorgeous kids. I love to read. I'm also utterly convinced that stories transform our lives. When we tell the stories of our hearts, we become more fully human.
